Management Consulting Firm Website Redesign
Derby Management
A management consulting firm, Derby Management specializes in three primary competencies: business planning, sales & marketing effectiveness & optimization, and senior management coaching services across the New England area.
Dissatisfied with their current website, Derby Management turned to LyntonWeb for a website redesign with a professional, unique look and feel, while utilizing all the features of their HubSpot analytics.
Objective:
To create a new, enhanced design, focused on increased branding awareness and lead generation.
The Solution
Wireframe and Design Wireframes are basic visual guides used to illustrate the structure of a website, relationships between pages, and the layout of fundamental elements in key pages of the site. We developed our wireframes based on the specifications developed during our discovery and strategy process.
The site was built in the HubSpot CMS, starting with the template design and then adding customized website elements through cascading style sheets (CSS), including text headings, link styles, content modules, graphical buttons, forms, and navigation elements. Each page was developed as specified in the sitemap and then populated with textual content provided by client.
One of Derby’s business drives is what they call a ‘Whiteboarding Session.’ However, their previous site did not call it out to draw the prospective client in to find out more.
Starting with the Home Page
The previous Derby Management site was old, lacked in content, and was pieced together in stages as the company grew and expanded services. It was not user- friendly, lacked calls to action, and therefore was not generating new leads.
A completely fresh, redesigned home page, with an easy-to-use navigation, showcases their specific business services and new calls to action to draw the reader into the site.
Inner Page Design
The inner pages of the previous site contained little content, and what was there was outdated. The only draw it had was directing the reader to the blog, and although that is of interest to the prospect, we wanted to give them more opportunities to dive deeper into the key features of the site.
The new inner page design includes new graphics to call the user’s attention to two of the key areas of the site: The Solution Center and The Whiteboarding Sessions. With the addition of more content and pages, a side navigation was added to make it easy for the reader to navigate the sub-pages.
The Competitive Edge Blog and Newsletter
Jack Derby, known as ‘The Coach,’ is the writer of The Competitive Edge newsletter, which has a nice following. He also uses his blog to post some daily thoughts and upcoming events.
LyntonWeb desgined a new template for The Competive Edge, blog and newsletter, now with an enhanced fresh look while still incorporating the calls to action throughout.
Jack does a great job of tieing his newsletter articles with his blog. This makes it very easy for his readers to catch a missed issue, or refer back to for reference at any time in the future.
