Usage Guide
The Alert Bar module is designed to capture immediate attention when visitors land on your pages. As a [+ only] module in the Brightlane theme, this component works best for time-sensitive announcements, promotional offers, or important company updates that need maximum visibility across your site.
You can add the Alert Bar to any page through HubSpot’s drag-and-drop page editor, though it’s most effective when placed at the very top of your page, above your navigation header. This positioning ensures visitors see your message immediately without scrolling. The module works particularly well on landing pages for events, homepage announcements for new services, and company-wide alerts about policy changes or urgent updates.
The dual-alignment content feature lets you balance different types of information effectively. For example, you might place your main announcement on the left side while adding contact information or dates on the right. When you add multiple text items to either side, HubSpot automatically separates them with bullet characters for clean readability.
Mobile optimization is crucial for this module since alert bars often contain critical information. The separate mobile text option lets you create shorter, more focused messaging that fits smaller screens without overwhelming mobile users. Consider abbreviating longer announcements or focusing on just the essential call-to-action for mobile versions.
The optional styled link with arrow works best for driving specific actions like “Register Now” for events or “Learn More” about new services. Since this module appears prominently on your pages, the link typically receives high click-through rates, making it valuable real estate for your most important conversions.
For consistency across your site, coordinate the Light Mode setting with your overall page design and brand guidelines established in your theme settings.
