Usage Guide
The Social Sharing module enhances your content’s reach by providing visitors with convenient ways to share your pages across multiple platforms. This module is particularly effective on blog posts, landing pages, case studies, and event pages where you want to amplify your content’s visibility through social networks.
When adding this module through the HubSpot page editor, you’ll find it works seamlessly with the Brightlane theme’s clean aesthetic. The module automatically pulls your page’s meta title, description, and featured image for social sharing, though you can override these defaults to create more compelling share text that drives engagement.
Strategic placement is key to maximizing shares. Consider positioning the module at the top of blog posts for immediate visibility, or at the bottom of case studies and whitepapers where readers are most likely to share valuable insights. The vertical layout works well in narrow sidebar areas, while the horizontal configuration fits naturally within content sections or above page footers.
The Light Mode setting ensures the social icons complement your page design, especially important when placing the module over colored backgrounds or within sections that use the Brightlane theme’s darker styling options. The enclosed icon style creates more visual weight and works particularly well on landing pages where you want to draw attention to sharing opportunities.
For B2B-focused content, prioritize LinkedIn and email sharing options, while Pinterest becomes valuable for visual content like infographics or event photos. The download option is unique among social sharing modules and proves especially useful for gated content pages where visitors can share the resource directly with colleagues.
Remember to test different placements using HubSpot’s built-in A/B testing to determine which positions generate the most social engagement for your specific audience and content types.
