How to Use This Module
The Schema module is essential for improving your website’s search engine visibility by adding structured data that helps Google and other search engines better understand your content. When you add this module to a page, it generates invisible JSON-LD schema markup that communicates directly with search engines about your organization, products, or content.
You’ll find the Schema module in the Contents tab of your page editor sidebar under the Built-in modules section. Unlike drag-and-drop modules that add visible content, this module works behind the scenes and won’t change your page’s visual appearance. However, it can significantly impact how your pages appear in search results, potentially enabling rich snippets, knowledge panels, and other enhanced search features.
When implementing schema on your site, start with the Organization schema type on your homepage to establish your company’s basic information. This creates a foundation that search engines can reference across all your pages. For blog posts, always add the Blog Post schema to help your content appear in news carousels and article-rich results. Product pages benefit enormously from Product schema, which can display pricing, availability, and reviews directly in search results.
The company domain field should match your primary website URL exactly as you want it to appear in search results. This consistency helps search engines connect your schema data with your broader online presence.
Best practice tip: Only use one Schema module per page, and ensure the schema type matches your page content. Adding Blog Post schema to a product page, for example, can confuse search engines and potentially harm your SEO performance. For SaaS and technology companies using Framework, focus on Organization schema for your main pages and Job Posting schema for career pages to maximize your visibility in relevant search results.
