How to Use This Module

The Social Follow module helps your nonprofit or educational organization build a stronger online community by making it easy for website visitors to connect with you across multiple social platforms. This drag-and-drop module is designed to complement Impact’s bold visual style while encouraging social media engagement.

You can add the Social Follow module to any page through HubSpot’s page editor by dragging it from the module library into your desired location. The module works particularly well in footer sections, contact pages, about pages, and donation landing pages where visitors are most likely to want ongoing connection with your organization.

When configuring the module, you’ll find options for the most popular social platforms nonprofits and schools use to engage their communities. The custom social option allows you to add platforms like TikTok, Snapchat, or specialized networks relevant to your cause or educational focus. Each social icon automatically opens in a new tab to keep visitors on your main site.

Design flexibility is built into the module’s styling options. The “enclose” setting adds a circular or square background behind each icon, which works well when placing the module on colored backgrounds or busy sections. The hover effects help create an interactive feel that encourages clicks.

For optimal placement, consider adding this module near calls-to-action or after compelling content when visitors are most engaged. Many Impact users place social follow icons both in their site header through theme settings and strategically throughout key pages using this module. This dual approach maximizes visibility without overwhelming your page design.

Remember to update your social media URLs in the module settings whenever you rebrand or create new organizational accounts to maintain accurate links.
