How to Use This Template
The System Page Globals template serves as a centralized editing hub for all your HubSpot system pages without cluttering your site’s page tree. Instead of hunting through different areas of your HubSpot account to customize error pages, membership forms, and subscription pages, you can access everything from one convenient location.
Setting Up Your Global Editor
Create a new page using the System Page Globals template in your HubSpot page editor, but do not publish it. This draft page acts as your control center. Name it something like “System Pages Editor” so your team can easily find it later. Once created, you’ll see all the global partials listed as editable modules on the page.
Editing Global Content
Click directly on any global partial within the page editor to modify its content, styling, and layout. Changes you make are automatically applied across your entire site wherever that system page appears. For example, updating the 404 error partial will immediately change how visitors see page-not-found errors throughout your domain.
Best Practices for System Pages
Keep your system pages consistent with your main site’s branding and tone. Your 404 error page should feel like a natural extension of your website, not an afterthought. For education institutions using the Rubric theme, consider adding helpful navigation links back to course catalogs or student resources on error pages.
Remember: Always publish your global partial changes through the individual modules, but never publish the System Page Globals template page itself. This template is purely for editing convenience and shouldn’t appear in your site navigation or search results.
