Content

  • If used in conjunction with the Page Nav module this module will dynamically add links to the page nav linking to these sections.
  • Module itself does not render any visible content on page

How to Use This Module

The Section Anchor module serves as an invisible navigation helper that creates precise jump points throughout your pages. When you drag this module into your page layout, it establishes a specific location that visitors can navigate to directly through URL links or internal page navigation.

To implement section anchors effectively, place this module at the beginning of content sections where you want users to land when clicking navigation links. For example, if you have sections for “About Us,” “Services,” and “Contact,” drop a Section Anchor module before each section’s headline and assign descriptive IDs like “about,” “services,” and “contact.”

Best practices for section anchor placement:

  • Position anchors slightly above your target content to account for fixed headers
  • Use clear, descriptive IDs without spaces or special characters
  • Consider adding anchors before major content blocks, testimonial sections, or call-to-action areas

This module works particularly well on long-form pages like service pages, about pages, or comprehensive resource guides where users benefit from quick navigation to specific sections. When paired with the Page Nav module from Spark Premium, you create an automatic table of contents that enhances user experience and reduces bounce rates.

The Section Anchor module integrates seamlessly with HubSpot’s page editor workflow. After adding the module to your page, configure the anchor ID in the module settings, then use that ID in your navigation menus or promotional emails by appending #your-anchor-id to your page URL. This approach is especially valuable for marketing campaigns where you want to direct traffic to specific page sections rather than just the page top.
