Overview
The Simple Menu module provides a clean, accessible navigation solution that you can place anywhere on your HubSpot pages beyond the standard header navigation. This versatile module is particularly valuable when you need secondary navigation menus, footer links, or contextual menu sections that complement your main site navigation.
When to Use This Module
Add the Simple Menu module to landing pages where you want to highlight specific service areas or product categories without overwhelming visitors with your full site navigation. It works exceptionally well on resource hub pages to organize content by topic, service overview pages to link to individual service details, and footer sections to create organized link clusters.
The module’s ADA compliance makes it an excellent choice for any public-facing pages where accessibility is crucial, ensuring your navigation meets WCAG standards out of the box.
Implementation Tips
When dragging this module into the HubSpot page editor, consider your menu orientation choice carefully. Horizontal menus work best in header areas or as inline navigation within content sections, while vertical orientation suits sidebars and footer columns perfectly.
For optimal user experience, limit your menu items to 5-7 links when using horizontal orientation to prevent wrapping issues on mobile devices. With vertical orientation, you have more flexibility but should still group related links logically.
Pro tip: Use multiple Simple Menu modules with different orientations on the same page to create navigation hierarchies. For example, combine a horizontal module for main categories with vertical modules for subcategory links in a two-column layout.
The module automatically inherits your Spark Premium theme’s typography and color scheme, but you can customize styling through the theme settings panel to match specific brand requirements.
