Content

  • Include title
  • Use custom share URL instead of the page the module is on
  • Include Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and/or Email
  • Change direction of module (vertical or horizontal)
  • Stick module to top of section when scrolling (must be only item in a column)
  • Change alignment of module on mobile (left, center, right)

Styles

  • Set Dark Mode
  • Change background color, background hover color, icon color, and icon hover color of the social items
  • Edit border styling of the social items (color, hover color, width, and radius)
  • Edit module spacing

How to Use This Module

The Social Share module is designed to boost your content’s reach by making it effortless for visitors to share your pages across their social networks. This module works particularly well on blog posts, landing pages, case studies, and resource pages where you want to maximize organic sharing and extend your content’s visibility.

When adding this module through the HubSpot page editor, you’ll find it most effective when placed in prominent locations such as the top or bottom of your main content area, or in a sidebar alongside your primary content. The sticky positioning feature is especially powerful for long-form content — when enabled, the social buttons follow users as they scroll, ensuring sharing options remain visible throughout their reading experience.

Pro tip: The custom share URL option is invaluable when you’re creating landing pages that should share a different URL than the page they’re hosted on, such as when promoting a specific campaign or directing traffic to a related resource.

The module’s responsive design automatically adapts to mobile devices, but you have full control over mobile alignment to ensure it fits seamlessly with your page layout. For sites with both light and dark sections, the Dark Mode toggle ensures your social buttons maintain proper contrast and readability regardless of background.

Since the styling is managed globally through Theme Settings > Components > Social Media, any color or design changes you make will automatically apply across all Social Share modules on your site, maintaining brand consistency without requiring individual module updates. This centralized approach saves significant time when managing multiple pages or making site-wide design adjustments.
