How to Use This Template
The Blog Post - Wide Header template is designed for content-heavy blog posts where you want to create maximum visual impact with your featured image or hero content. This template differs from standard blog layouts by extending the header area across the full width of the browser, creating an immersive reading experience that draws visitors into your content immediately.
When to choose this template: Select the Blog Post - Wide Header when you have high-quality featured images, want to showcase video content in the hero area, or need to create a more magazine-style presentation for important announcements or cornerstone content pieces.
In the HubSpot page editor, you’ll notice the template includes a sidebar that remains visible as readers scroll through your content. This sidebar positioning is ideal for lead generation forms, related content promotion, or author information that you want to keep prominently displayed. The Theme Form module in the sidebar works particularly well for newsletter signups or content downloads related to your blog topic.
The Progress Bar module at the top helps improve user engagement by showing reading progress, encouraging visitors to complete longer articles. You can customize its appearance through the theme settings to match your brand colors.
To maximize the wide header’s impact, upload featured images that are at least 1920px wide. The Blog Post Hero V2 module will automatically optimize the display across different screen sizes while maintaining the dramatic full-width effect on desktop devices.
The template’s Social Share and Related Posts modules are strategically positioned to encourage engagement after readers finish your content, helping increase time on site and social media reach.
