Section Anchor
A div with an ID that can be linked to using a URL hash anchor (ex: #section).
Content
- If used in conjunction with the Page Nav module this, module will dynamically add links to the page nav linking to these sections
- The module itself does not render any visible content on page
How to Use This Module
The Section Anchor module serves as an invisible waypoint on your pages, allowing you to create smooth navigation experiences and deep links to specific content areas. When you drag this module from the sidebar into your page editor, it acts as a bookmark that visitors can jump to directly through URL anchors.
Setting Up Section Anchors
After adding the module to your page, you’ll need to configure the anchor ID in the module settings panel. Choose descriptive, URL-friendly names like “pricing-section” or “team-bios” rather than generic terms. This ID becomes part of the URL when visitors link directly to that section (yoursite.com/page#pricing-section).
Best Practices for Page Navigation
Place Section Anchor modules strategically before major content blocks like pricing tables, testimonials, or feature sections. This works particularly well on long-form landing pages where you want to help visitors quickly navigate to relevant information. The Spark theme’s Page Nav module will automatically detect these anchors and generate a floating navigation menu, creating a table of contents effect.
Ideal Use Cases
This module excels on comprehensive service pages, lengthy blog posts, FAQ sections, and multi-section landing pages. It’s especially valuable for pages accessed through email campaigns or social media, where you want to direct traffic to specific offers or information blocks. You can also use multiple Section Anchor modules on a single page to create detailed navigation structures.
Remember that while the module itself is invisible, its impact on user experience is significant. Test your anchor links after publishing to ensure they scroll to the correct positions on both desktop and mobile devices.
