Usage Guide
The Social Follow module creates a clean, professional way to connect your website visitors with your brand’s social media presence. You can drag and drop this module into any page template within the HubSpot page editor, making it ideal for website footers, contact pages, about pages, and landing page sidebars where you want to encourage social engagement.
When configuring the module, you’ll notice that content options are limited to selecting which social platforms to display. This streamlined approach keeps the setup process simple while ensuring your social links maintain a consistent appearance across your site. The module automatically generates the appropriate icons for each platform you select, so you don’t need to worry about sourcing or uploading icon files.
Theme Settings integration makes this module particularly powerful in the Spark theme. Rather than configuring colors and hover effects individually for each Social Follow module instance, you can establish your brand’s social media styling once in Theme Settings under Components > Social Media. This means every Social Follow module across your entire website will automatically inherit these design choices, ensuring brand consistency whether the module appears in your main navigation, footer, or scattered throughout various landing pages.
The Dark Mode option within the module works seamlessly with the global dark mode functionality built into Spark. When visitors toggle dark mode on your site, your social icons will automatically switch to the dark mode color scheme you’ve defined in Theme Settings.
For optimal user experience, consider placing Social Follow modules in high-visibility areas where visitors naturally expect to find social links, such as your site footer or contact page sidebar. The module’s compact design makes it versatile enough for both prominent placement and subtle integration into your page layouts.
