Usage Guide
The Social Follow module helps you build stronger connections with your audience by making it easy for visitors to find and follow your brand across different social media platforms. This module is particularly effective when placed in your website’s footer, sidebar, or at the end of blog posts where readers are most likely to engage with your social content.
You can add the Social Follow module to any page using HubSpot’s drag-and-drop page editor. Simply locate it in the modules panel and drag it into your desired content area. The module automatically detects your traverse theme styling, ensuring the social icons blend seamlessly with your site’s design aesthetic.
Best placement strategies include adding the module to your About page to showcase your company’s social presence, incorporating it into product pages to encourage customers to follow for updates, or including it in email templates to cross-promote your social channels. The module works exceptionally well on blog listing pages and individual blog posts, where engaged readers are more likely to want ongoing content from your brand.
When configuring the module, take advantage of the link title feature for each social platform. This accessibility enhancement helps screen readers understand where each link leads, improving your site’s usability for all visitors. The FontAwesome integration for custom platforms means you can add emerging social networks or niche platforms specific to your industry without waiting for theme updates.
The Dark Mode option is particularly useful if you’re using traverse’s dark theme variations or want the social icons to stand out against light backgrounds. Consider using the box enclosure feature with subtle background colors to make your social links more prominent on busy page layouts.
