Usage Guide

The Social Sharing module encourages visitors to amplify your content across their social networks, making it an essential component for content marketing strategies. This module works particularly well on blog posts, case studies, product pages, and resource downloads where you want to maximize organic reach through social distribution.

You can drag and drop this module anywhere on your pages through the HubSpot page editor, though it’s most effective when placed at the end of content sections or in sidebars where readers have already engaged with your material. The module automatically pulls the current page’s URL, title, and meta description for social sharing, ensuring consistent messaging across platforms.

Strategic placement recommendations include positioning the module after compelling content on landing pages, at the bottom of blog articles, or alongside downloadable resources like whitepapers and case studies. For SaaS companies using the Vertical theme, consider adding it to product feature pages and customer success stories to drive organic social proof.

The module’s Dark Mode setting automatically adapts to your site’s theme preferences, maintaining visual consistency across your pages. When customizing icon styling, consider your brand colors and hover states that encourage interaction. The “enclose” option adds background shapes to icons, which can improve visibility on busy page backgrounds.

Email and download sharing options extend functionality beyond traditional social platforms. The email option opens the visitor’s default mail client with a pre-populated subject line and link, while the download option (when applicable) allows direct file sharing. This makes the module versatile for both content promotion and lead generation strategies.

For optimal performance, enable only the social platforms where your target audience is most active, as too many options can create decision paralysis and reduce overall sharing rates.
