Technology
Consultant
Sit across from VPs and CTOs evaluating their SaaS spend. Assess real technology environments, present AI-generated blueprints, and translate findings into business decisions that drive engagements.
About Lynton
Lynton spent 16 years as a HubSpot partner. 2,000+ companies, 50+ industries. We know SaaS from the inside: what it costs, how it locks companies in, where the architecture breaks down.
Two years ago, we saw what was coming. AI didn't just change the feature set. It changed the math. We left the partnership and started building what comes next. Today we help mid-market companies replace legacy SaaS with AI-native infrastructure they actually own.
The role
We need someone who can sit across from a VP of Marketing running HubSpot, or a CTO evaluating their SaaS spend, and have a credible, specific conversation about what a modern technology stack looks like and how to get there.
This isn't a "make decks and philosophize" role. You'll assess real client technology environments, identify where they're overpaying or under-leveraging, and present actionable migration paths. You'll work alongside our CMO to develop opportunities in our existing client base and convert digital product buyers into larger engagements.
The founder is building the frameworks, the assessment tools, and the AI-powered blueprints that generate client recommendations. You'll be the person who takes those outputs, understands them deeply, and translates them into business terms that drive decisions.
What you'll do
- ▸Partner with the CMO to identify and develop upsell opportunities in our legacy HubSpot client base
- ▸Run technology discovery sessions and needs assessments for prospects
- ▸Present AI-generated blueprint findings in business terms: cost savings, risk reduction, operational improvement
- ▸Develop and deliver the consultative side of our AI Strategy service offering
- ▸Scope client engagements by translating business requirements into project parameters the engineering team can build against
- ▸Feed intelligence from client conversations back to the founder to shape products and positioning
- ▸Build and refine the consulting methodology as we formalize our advisory practice
Who you are
- ●3–5 years in martech consulting, SaaS implementation, solutions consulting, or digital strategy
- ●You understand CRM, marketing automation, analytics, and content management from the buyer or implementer side. You've lived inside these ecosystems
- ●HubSpot experience is a significant advantage given our client base and history
- ●You can have a credible technology conversation without writing code. Architectures, integrations, trade-offs at a level that earns trust
- ●Experience scoping, proposing, or delivering consulting engagements, not just contributing to them
- ●Strong analytical skills: cost modeling, ROI analysis, building a business case
- ●Clear, confident communicator in writing, on calls, and in presentations
- ●Comfortable in a small team where you build the process, not follow it
Bonus
- +Experience with open-source tools, composable architecture, or modern web frameworks
- +Familiarity with AI tools and how they're changing business operations
What you'll need to understand
You don't need to be an engineer. But you need to be conversant in these areas. We'll get you there.

Why this role
- Ground floor with credibility. 16 years of enterprise relationships, a legacy client base generating revenue, and a market thesis the numbers are proving right.
- Shape the practice. No consulting playbook yet. You build the methodology, the assessment frameworks, and the client engagement model.
- Real advisory work. Help companies navigate a real inflection point in enterprise software, with data, frameworks, and a clear point of view.
- Direct impact. Small team. No layers. Your recommendations go straight to clients. Your insights go straight to the founder.
We're building
the pipeline.
This role isn't our immediate hire, but we're actively building the pipeline for when it is. If you're a strong fit, we want to know you exist before we're racing to fill the seat.
